So guys I'm finally getting around to posting these photos from when we were in Pompeii last year. It really was just an amazing site! Mt. Vesuvius was incredible! I can't believe that this entire city was lost, underground, for so many years! If you notice in the photo above there are two mountain tops... If you put your hands on each side, slant them to the center until your fingers touch and make one mountain... That is how big Vesuvius was before it blew it's top off in 79AD. Crazy, huh?
These photos aren't mind blowing as I have to say I completely regret not taking my DSLR with me to Italy, but hopefully you'll enjoy these anyway!
