Did you know, on this day in 1981 the Cleveland Indians hosted the Toronto Blue Jays. This two hour and nine minute long game had 7,290 fans in attendance. Len Barker was the starting pitcher for the Tribe and he pitched a perfect game. For those of you who don't know what a perfect game is, it means no hits, no runs, no RBI's, nobody got on base, not one single Blue Jay made it to first base! Cleveland won 3-0. This is the last time the Tribe has had a perfect game, not that they happen all the time, but the are on fire this season!!! They are half a game behind the Detroit Tigers for first place in the American League, Central Division. They are leading the league in homeruns with 49 in only 19 games. Gotta give credit to Indians first baseman Mark Reynolds, with 11 of those homeruns and 34 RBI's! Can I get a ROLL TRIBE ROLL!!?!!
