That One Time....

So this one time, my friend decided she was going to meet a guy from the internet in New York City. I couldn't very well let her go alone, could I? I mean, HELLO small town Alabama to NYC! Of course I couldn't!!! Once in a lifetime kind of deal, ya know? She just happened to also be my manager at work so we worked out the schedule so I didn't have to worry about that soooo.... Why not go!?!?
We had a great time even though we stayed in the tiniest hotel ever which would have been absolutely fine if we hadn't met up with "Hank". "Hank" is not his name and actually at the moment his name escapes me because I did call him Hank the entire time.
My friend paid for everything basically and I'm sure I still owe her money but he didn't even offer to pay for anything!!! But other than that he's not really worth talking about...

She bought us a pass where we got to go to The Met, The Museum of Natural History, and the MOMA. It was fantastic! Oh oh oh oh...  and to the top of the Empire State Building!!!! That was amazing! We went up at night! It was very romantic! There was even a sax player!! One day I'll have the Hubby up there with me!!
My favorite day was the day we ditched the guy and then walked all around somewhere near Tribeca where we thought Daniel Radcliffe lived!! We walked forever and ever and ever! I guess that's kind of what you do in NYC.
Oh yea!!!! I forgot about the ferry out to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty then around the whole Island of Manhattan. I have to say... That one got me a little bit choked up, but it was very cool! Just to think that most Americans here today came through here... landed here... for the first time ever! Super emotional!
The tour guide was actually the reason we walked around looking for Harry Potter's place and the place where they filmed the Sex and the City scenes outside of Carrie's brownstone.

Oh my... and the Asian ladies and their purses! They basically force you down their secret corridors, where you're thinking this is the end, my life is over as I know it, I'm sure to be a sex slave in some horrible cell like cage... Oh did I go to far? Anyways, it was nothing like that. There were only purses and wallets and keychains and the such. Mostly Coach, Prada, Louis Vuitton... all fake, all illegal, but all perfectly acceptable in my eyes. Sorry BIG NAME BRANDS, we can't all afford you!!!

Those were all definitely my high points. We had fun no matter what, although getting lost is no fun. Makes people very irritable!!!
I wish I had all of the photos to share but they were on MySpace (now they're all gone!!)... that's how long ago this was!! There are dates on the photos I do have and those are not correct. I will figure out how to get those off of there one of these days! This, again was when I didn't own any sort of photoshop, just some kind of photo editor that came on my computer.
Anyhow... Here's some photo's from that one time in NYC. My first time!

Well... stupid date... it's even three years off and I think it was September..
Maybe one day I'll figure out where/how to find those other photos!
