Before we get into the ugly planter situation... can we just talk about the claws on Mr. Taco?!?!? They grow sooooo fast!! He always pulls away when I'm trying to clip them and I know I'm not clipping too far down because I'm so paranoid that i'll hurt him that I end up barely clipping them at all!!! The way he runs around and plays all the time, I'm sure they bother him... they'd bother me!!
Ok, now on to the ugly planters! I am always looking for an easy, money saving hack for anything and everything I do! When I got Jim, (he's a palm tree thing < technical term) I didn't get a new pot to transplant him to. He didn't really need transplanting except that I hated the look of that plastic planter he was in. I had to figure something out! I could've painted it, but that would've been a pain in the ba-donka-donk!!! I figured I would end up getting a nice pot to plant him in eventually, so I didn't do much about it. But then, as I was doing some spring cleaning organization, I ran across all of my canvas shopping bags that I have hoarded. I thought, "hmmm... I bet that plant would fit in there." Soo I tried it, it fit, I saved money, and that's how Jim got his name!
Such an easy fix!!! And cute too!!
