Recently this blog has become a bit of a fashion blog, without even meaning to, but Polyvore has me hooked on fashion and home decor and what-not. I love clothes and lets face it that Capsule Wardrobe thing just DID NOT work for me! I like to be as minimalist as the next minimalist but clothes are a whole other story! Not to mention shoes! Oh I love shoes!!!
But anyway, for the rant part of this post, I just ordered a few things from a store that I won't mention because well, I just wouldn't feel right about it. I ordered last night after a few glasses of wine and, yes maybe it's my own fault for mixing up the billing address and the shipping address. (they are different and the billing address is still from our old address) Thanks wine! Geez!
So anyway I notice it this morning and called first thing to tell them the mistake that I made. There was no help what-so-ever! The first girl, Linda, said that the status was packing the products so I should try calling a littler later to see if the status changed and they may be able to fix it. Sooo, I called 3 hours later and the the girl, Eliza, (I hope her last name was Doolittle!) tells me there is nothing she can do because the order has already been shipped. Now I have to give them props for getting it done so quickly but the fact that they could not change the shipping address, well that's just madness to me!
Eliza tells me I should call FedEx and see if they can change the address. So I call FedEx, they tell me the only people who can change the shipping address is the company I ordered from! What in the world is this mess!!! With technology these days I just don't understand!
Thankfully we did do a change of address form, but we have noticed that we don't always get things. Like just recently the people that bought our old house ended up with what looked like a check and they tried to cash it!!! It wasn't even a check, it was a notification of an auto pay that had come out of our bank account! These are the kind of people that we are dealing with, and if my items go to our old house I will NEVER see them again!! It just irritates the piss out of me! Wish me luck in getting my package!!
On a lighter note, I got a job at this amazing little Italian restaurant very near our house today! I don't start until March 1st as I am going to Florida for 3 weeks for some business and also quite a bit of relaxation! I'll be driving down with my Dad, visiting with my grandparents in Tennessee for a day, then heading down to Jacksonville to see one of my best friends that I have not seen in years (Yay Lacey!!) and spending the night with her and her family. Then we are headed to Fort Myers for the weekend so that my Step-Mom and hopefully my Husband will fly down to meet us. After that we will be heading to the Keys and staying at Marathon Island. Lots of fun stuff will be happening like drinking mai-tais, pina coladas, and sticking my feet in the sand. Morning Yoga is a must and paddle boarding for sure, and hopefully some spa time! The Hubby wants to go snorkeling and fishing, not quite sure I do but I might try snorkeling! Not to mention the other stuff, but that's a secret!
It will be so nice getting out of this cold weather for a change!!!
And for your viewing pleasure: THE TACO!!!! And a few other things!!
And this cute furry guy!
New flowers...
Blue skies and airplanes!
I refuse to take the garland down from the fireplace!
Taco legs... He's the cutest ever!!
Chicken Croissants! Super yummy, though I'm trying to be a vegetarian nowadays.
A new haircut for me! The bangs are a little shorter than I wanted, but they'll grow out!
I absolutely recommend Pure Concepts in Kenwood... Absolutely fabulous! It's an Aveda salon, and they give you a complimentary upper back and scalp massage AND a facial! It was heavenly bliss!
