A Little Fun on Saturday...

This past weekend my husband and I got to spend some good quality time together! He usually has to work on Saturdays, so this was a bit of a rare occasion. We had tickets to the Ohio State vs Kent football game but we ended up not going. It's a 2 hour drive and we didn't want to have to wake up early and fight for a parking space and then watch OSU stomp the living daylights out of poor ole Kent State, which they did 66-0. We watched it on TV instead. Then we decided to head downtown and hit up Findlay Market. I love that place. They have pretty much any and every fresh food item you could want and some homemade goods too. I got some awesome homemade lip balm that I've totally fallen head over heels for. It's from Betina, and its made locally in Fairfield, Ohio! (Even better!) You should totally check them out!!! I got the raspberry cream balm and it's super yummy, and super soothing!! There's also a nice little pet store there where you can buy treats and organic dog food and stuff, which we did, of course.

After we left Findlay we headed over to Fountain Square where, unbeknownst to us, the Cincinnati Beerfest was getting underway! A very pleasant surprise, as they had beer from local breweries and also some not so local breweries. There were extremely long lines so we didn't buy a ticket, but instead decided to head over to Rock Bottom Brewery to eat and enjoy their yummy brews. They have, like, THE best mac and cheese ever!
